Teresa began her CRT career in 1991 as a customer service/sales rep for United Medical. Her career path promptly became her passion: she received her Resna ATS certification in 1995 and Resna ATP 3 years later. She then worked for HealthCare Source as an ATP in Memphis, TN. In 2001 she opened Glass Seating and Mobility in Memphis and quickly expanded into Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas.
In 2011 Glass Seating was awarded the HME Excellence award for CRT. The following year, Teresa sold Glass Seating to United Seating and Mobility where she remained as Regional VP until she retired early in 2019 to spend more time with her family. But Teresa missed working with CRT clients, and a year later she started Freedom In Mobility in Huntsville, AL.
It is her mission - and that of her team - to create a stress-free process for clients, caregivers, and medical professionals in acquiring the specialized equipment tailored to individuals’ specific needs to maximize their health, function, and independence.
Mike's complex rehab experience began in 1994 and includes billing, accounting, sales, management, service technician, seating technician, and his current ATP position. He holds a BS in Business Management from Athens State University and has been a certified ATP since 2009. He is also a NRRTS member. In August of 2021 Mike obtained his Seating and Mobility Specialist (SMS) certification.
Having trained and worked as a rehab technician, Mike has hands-on experience with device capabilities in determining what equipment best fits the needs of each client.
Mike is married and has 3 children. He states, “My children have only known me to be in this business; they are very aware of and comfortable with others in the community with disabilities and their needs.”
Susan received her BS degree in Occupational Therapy from Tennessee State University. In 2004, she became RESNA certified as an Assistive Technology Professional. Susan has worked as a therapist and an ATP in a variety of settings including Assistive Technology clinics, home health, SNF’s, and in the CRT industry over the past 24 years.
After receiving her CAPS (Certified Aging In Place) certification in December of 2011, she co-created Rehab & Mobility Solutions, LLC, to assist clients with their mobility needs and provide safe solutions for home accessibility. She has also worked with health plans to provide medical necessity determinations to ensure appropriate equipment selection and guidelines have been met.
Susan’s extensive AT background and expertise in Medicare and other payer guidelines allows her to share knowledge with both her clients and team members to assist in providing mobility solutions that obtain optimal outcomes. As an Occupational Therapist, her experience in clients’ homes over the years has enhanced her ability to provide safe and accessible solutions to allow individuals to stay in their homes longer.
Susan’s passion for CRT and home accessibility is evident in her willingness to share her knowledge in daily interactions with clients, clinician’s, MD offices, community support peers, and manufacturing partners.
